A tiny Portuguese-inflected seafood restaurant on Canal Street that feels like a beach bar that wandered into the Lower East Side and decided to stay. The tinned fish is exceptional, the grilled whole fish is the move, and the natural wine list is short and smart. The back patio in summer is one of the great outdoor dining experiences in the city.
Insider tip
The grilled prawns and a glass of vinho verde on the patio. If it's cold, the octopus inside is just as good.
